Precious Cache-poetry in our lives

Much has happened in the past 7 years, but it has happened for a real purpose.

I made it through each storm arriving to each destination somewhat worn & battered, yet always hopeful. God says he will never dish out more than he believes we can handle- I truly believe he was building my faith for a greater plan, one that would take me all the way down to the pits of desperation, but this was his idea of raising me back up so I could stand stronger, ready to take on each struggle while learning from it-

A dear friend known since childhood described the tragic loss of my mother as a possible re-birth, for she believes sometimes we have to lose a loved one, to actually find ourselves….When I think of where God has placed me today I am grateful, for I am truly blessed. From words written in a eulogy to my mother, those listening heard more. The minister who performed the ceremony that sad day, was also listening. It was actually he who pulled me aside aftwards and planted the seed of suggestion to keep writing. For whatever purpose, someone had flicked a switch inside my mind and for the following days after we said our farewells, I sat deep in thought, writing down every feeling, every word which I know God had whispered to me, some were also words from my mother. The seed had been planted, and was now being watered & nurtured…what grew was a special relationship between myself, and the Lord.

’A Piece Of My Mind’ was the first book I’d ever had published. It consisted of a vast range of poems, from my younger years right through to the passing of my dear mother. It was released just 1 year after mum’s death and with help from our local community members & our Cancer council, found its way into many homes, libraries, Pallative Care centres and so on. This, was the beginning of the new path I’d been placed upon which continues to branch off in so many directions as God keeps working within me. Each branch bears new fruit!

Again, God stepped into my life, opening just one more door which led me to a group known as the Baby Boomer Divas. There really is no stopping us now, we are on the move and making a difference!

    Deb–

I believe one of the Divas said hit best when she said YOU are one of the bonuses we receive for being a member of the Diva Web of Fame. Your realness, down-to-earth compassion makes you a shining star in a dim world! I am so pleased that you are a part of this group.

You have brought tears to my eyes. I really needed to hear something ‘nice’ today, and I thank God you decided to pop in. You know Bev, it IS a big deal to me to be sharing this journey…I know many are definitely far better educated than I probably am..(lol) but the feeling of LOVE that I get from each of you is greater than any sholarship or prize!

I love that we are all able to love so unconditionally, and with such power~
Thanks Beverly Mahone, you are beautiful.
